What happens after the one year period?
At the end of the one year period, you can renew the domain by paying a renewal fee – usually the same price as registering a new domain name. If you fail to renew the domain name, it will enter into a redemption period, i.e. the domain name is suspended and your website cannot be accessed, but you can still redeem/renew the domain. If nothing is done, the records will be deleted and the domain name will be released to the public again.
