True to their name TVfXQ, or better known as Dong Bang Shin Gi that actually means 'Gods Rising from the East', this quintet group has made a strong impact in South Korea that they are undeniably the most successful boyband to emerge in 2004. The blockbuster success of Shinhwa and now defunct H.O.T certainly paved a way for their own commercial breakthrough, but TVfXQ did not just become superstars - they have reached the highly esteemed status as a pop phenomenon in their country.
TVfXQ is well known for their charismatic image and extensive talent in singing, dancing and composing among others. The starting point of their career was back in 2003 when they first made their debut at a joint concert of BoA and Britney Spears as an acapella group highlighting excellent dancing skills. The members - Hero (Kim Jae Joong, 20), U-Know (Jung Yun Ho, 20, Leader), Micky (Park Yoo Chun, 20), Xiah (Kim Jun Su, 19) and Max (Shim Chang Min, 18) - and the group itself are a product of auditions for stardom under SM Entertainment, who has produced prominent and legendary multitalented performers like H.O.T, BoA, Fly To The Sky, Kangta and Shinhwa.
Their recent 1st Concert in Seoul, Korea in February was predicted to have 1,000 fans from eight Asian nations to attend the first solo concert of music group TVfXQ together with thousands of Korean fans.. The concert was named 'Rising Sun' and was held at the Gymnastics Arena of Seoul Olympics Park with major success.
TVfXQ is also the new LG Mobile Ambassadors with the new M6100 named after the group.
